Meet the Arts Hub Board Members

Jeff Andersen

Jeff received a BA in Theater Education from the University of New Mexico in 2007. Since then, he has worked on over 80 live productions and films throughout New Mexico. His work is primarily as an actor and director and he has worked in a variety of styles including clowning, classical language, musicals, and highly physical productions. Jeff has also worked as a lighting and set designer, playwright, director of photography, assistant editor, and in various other roles.

Josh Bien

Josh is a songwriter, designer, and technician in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  His background is in Theatrical Design having received a degree in Design for Performance from UNM.  He currently owns and operates J-BIT Tech, LLC (an IT consulting and computer repair shop) as well as First Click Digital Marketing, and 505 Songworks (a New Mexico music licensing company).

Abby Butler

Abby is a Sequential artist and designer. She has worked with Any Given Child ABQ., Explora!, Harwood Arts School and One Albuquerque to bring Comic book creation skills to kids. She works on The Albuquerque ArtsHub board focusing on the Adult  Fellowship.

Sarah Kennedy

Sarah Kennedy wants to help you escape—and she said as much in an interview with The Atlantic—whether it’s through live stand-up comedy, through humor writing, or through countless events online.

She’s been featured on The Today Show, MTV and SiriusXM, performed in multiple comedy festivals across the country, and was also a finalist in NBC’s Stand-Up For Diversity nationwide comedy contest. She’s published pieces in The Advocate, Reductress, and GO Magazine, among others, and most recently, her original scripts have been performed on the Spec Script Podcast.

Vanessa Bowen

Vanessa is a Product Designer, based in New Mexico working to amplify and empower BIPOC communities through art, design, and technology.

Sean Wells

Sean Wells is an award-winning 5th generation Hispanic artist and a juried member of the Spanish Colonial Arts Society in the retablo category producing traditional saint images. She is also well-known for her colorful Day of the Dead themed art that has appeared on nationally distributed beers and wines and New Mexico Lottery scratchers. Sean received "Best Visual Artist" from Albuquerque the Magazine and the 2019 Hispanic Heritage Award in Arts & Culture. Sean also demonstrates, teaches and presents to children and adults throughout New Mexico on themes and techniques related to her art imagery. Sean educates on Hispanic culture through art with the aspiration to help create more understanding and acceptance between cultures.
